Pandamus Candelabrum
The Youssef Diamond Mining Company has a world-renowned Chief Geologist, Dr. Stephen Haggerty. In 2011, Dr. Haggerty made a discovery of a botanical indicator that is present only around kimberlite pipes and dykes. this discovery has proven to be an invaluable tool in kimberlite exploration. Dr. Haggerty has received recognition of his discovery from major scientific journals and mining experts. The YDMC Exploration Tenement has multiple instances of this botanical indicator now termed Pandamus Candlabrum.

A University of Liberia research paper composed by Mr. Stephen Cooper has confirmed the scientific accuracy and background that confirms the plants relation to the presence of kimberlite pipes and dykes. Using the Pandamus Candlabrum plant in exploration is a simple and efficient to identify target areas for kimberlite exploration and mining. Our YDMC Exploration Tenement contains many of these plants which indicate the presence of a significant number of individual kimberlite pipes and dykes.
